Current Sociopolitical Climate
|Tan shading: Cecht||Dark green shading: Danu||Blue shading: Skalds|
- Cecht: Spread out, lacking centralization with the exception of their largest city, Mace-cecht. Currently waging war against the encroaching Skalds in the north, though they partly provoked it (the Skalds have not yet officially crossed into Tuatha with any significant force). War-oriented, and disdain the Danu since they broke away from them ~20 years ago. Aren’t fans of channelers, but recognize their usefulness at times.
- Danu: Largest population of Gaels, run by druids & channelers, densely populated (relative to the Cecht), centralized “government.” They run their areas with strictly peaceful and balance-oriented policies, but stay uninvolved with the conflict going on in the north—they prefer to avoid political matters outside their own domain. They are happy to let the Cecht do their battle thing up north as long as they leave the Danu alone.
- Skalds: From the icy lands of Midgard to the north, they Skalds are a very war and conquest-oriented people. Due to their thirst for conquest and the fact that they’ve essentially been in an eternal winter since their fracture from the Talmere (all the human races on this continent come from the Talmere), some factions are looking to reclaim some land closer to their past home.
